Aussehen
Dunkles Rotgold

Nase
Nicht sehr intensiv in der Nase dafür aber harmonisch mit einer leichten Süße mit viel Vanille und Karamell. Milchschokolade und Nugat mit gerösteten Mandeln. Alkohol ist nicht wahrzunehmen.

Geschmack
Leichter und gleichzeitig weicher Körper mit mehr Zuckersüße als im Geruch. Dazu eine ordentliche Portion Vanille und Karamell. Leichte Aromen von Zimt und Muskatnuss. Etwas Würze der Fässer.

Abgang
Das Final zeigt einen dezenten Holzeinfluss, der sich mit einer leichten Trockenheit mit etwas Würzigkeit am Gaumen präsentiert. Dazu immer noch viel Vanille und Gewürze. Insgesamt eher kurz im Abgang.

Fazit
Ähnelt schon deutlich seinem älteren Bruder, dem 15y. Ein angenehmer Rum mit einer starken Vanille- und Karamellnote. Trotz dem er nachgezuckert ist, fällt die Süße nicht extrem auf. Das gefällt mir. Die Aromen auf der Zunge sind luftig und leicht. Ein wenig mehr Intensität wäre schön. Alles in allem aber ein sehr gutes PLV. Ich würde jedoch den 15y dem 10y vorziehen, um ein paar Euro mehr bekommt man intensivere Aromen und Geschmacksnoten - vor allem im Mund war der 10y mir etwas zu leicht.

Appearance
Dark red gold

Nose
Not very intense on the nose but harmonious with a slight sweetness with lots of vanilla and caramel. Milk chocolate and nougat with toasted almonds. Alcohol is not perceptible.

Taste
Light and at the same time soft body with more sugar sweetness than in the smell. In addition, a good portion of vanilla and caramel. Light aromas of cinnamon and nutmeg. Some spice from the casks.

Finish
The finish shows a subtle wood influence with a slight dryness with some spiciness on the palate. Still plenty of vanilla and spice to go with it. Overall, rather short on the finish.

Conclusion
Already clearly resembles its older brother, the 15y. A pleasant rum with a strong vanilla and caramel note. Despite being sweetened, the sweetness is not extremely noticeable. I like that. The flavours on the tongue are airy and light. A little more intensity would be nice. All in all, however, a very good PLV. However, I would prefer the 15y to the 10y, for a few euros more you get more intense aromas and flavours - especially in the mouth the 10y was a bit too light for me.
