Nase
Richtig dunkel und schwer sofort in der Nase. Deutlich Rosinen, Vanille und Zwetschkenmus. Auch ordentliche Eichewürze und dunkle Schokolade als Kontrapunkt zur Süße. Einem Armagnac nicht unähnlich von der Nase.
Geschmack
Unverdünnt - sehr heiß und sehr süß, adstringierend, Rosinen, Eiche, getrocknete Zwetschken und Powidl, Vanille.
Verdünnt - harmonischer und mehr ausbalanziert, honigsüß, Rosinen, würzig, mehr Fruchtaromen der Zwetschke, auch Orange, viel Vanille, Karamell.
Abgang
Unverdünnt - 75% Schokolade, Rosinen und Leder, eher mittel bis kurz andauernd.
Verdünnt - Rosinen und Vanille, Eiche, Leder, länger anhaltend.
Fazit
Sehr schöner Rum aus Venezuela im spanischen Stil. Viel Kraft. Schöne Kombination aus Süße, Vanille, Rumrosinen und Eichenwürze. Mit ein paar Tropfen Wasser geht die Post ab im Mund. Richtig easy drinking, schön ausbalanziert, die Alkoholstärke passt, verträgt durchaus ein paar Tropfen Wasser. Wäre ein Kaufkandidat, wenn es noch eine Flasche gäbe.

Nose
Really dark and heavy immediately on the nose. Clearly sultanas, vanilla and plum jam. Also decent oak spice and dark chocolate as a counterpoint to the sweetness. Not unlike an Armagnac from the nose.
Taste
Undiluted - very hot and very sweet, astringent, sultanas, oak, dried plums and plum jam, vanilla.
Diluted - more harmonious and more balanced, honey-sweet, sultanas, spicy, more fruit flavours of plum, also orange, lots of vanilla, caramel.
Finish
Undiluted - 75% chocolate, sultanas and leather, rather medium to short lasting.
Diluted - sultanas and vanilla, oak, leather, longer lasting.
Conclusion
Very nice rum from Venezuela in Spanish style. Lots of power. Nice combination of sweetness, vanilla, rum sultanas and oak spice. With a few drops of water it's great in the mouth. Really easy drinking, nicely balanced, the alcohol strength fits, definitely tolerates a few drops of water. Would be a candidate for purchase if there were still a bottle.
